How do we face hard times? How do we get up after we’ve been knocked down? How do we thrive through the experience?

 

As always, we turn to the Tanach and Jewish history to see what our ancestors have always done in times of trouble. From the Exodus to our modern response to the Holocaust, we will find the overarching premise on which our history is built: It is always the phoenix.

 

Every happening and story in our history has its genesis in adversity. How were the Jews of Egypt and Persia able to face the threat of genocide, slavery and the fire of destruction? Their strength to not only survive but to thrive is built into our very DNA.
