Haggadah - How To Tell A Story

Haggadah - How To Tell A Story

"And you shall tell your child on that day, saying, 'Because of this, the Lord did [this] for me when I went out of Egypt.'" (Exodus 13:8)

Rabbi Jonathan Sacks called the Haggadah “the oldest and most transformative story of hope ever told.” Where does the Haggadah come from? How did it evolve into what we have today? From the earliest sources in the Torah, through the Talmud and to Rabbi Sacks himself today, we will unpack sources known and recently discovered to understand the what, how and why of the history of Judaism’s most famous evening and its texts.

Join the Academy to unpack the origins of the Haggadah and how it works as the ideal story of a people, agency and freedom.
